Known as the ninth most settled association of higher learning in the United States and the second most prepared in Virginia, It involves three insightful units: The College; the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics; and the School of Law. The school's gatherings are known as "The Generals" and battle in NCAA Division III in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the Centennial Conference for wrestling. Washington and Lee has 11 men's gatherings (baseball, ball, crosscountry, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, olympic style events, and wrestling) and 10 women's gatherings (b-ball, crosscountry, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, riding, soccer, swimming, tennis, olympic style sports, and volleyball). In 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012, the Generals football bunch won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference title. The Generals baseball bunch won the NCAA title in 2009.
Washington and Lee offers Forty two student majors (including interdisciplinary majors neuroscience, medieval and Renaissance studies, and Russian zone studies) and 22 minors, joining interdisciplinary undertakings in African-American concentrates, East Asian ponders, biological studies, Latin American and Caribbean studies, destitution and human limit inspects (Shepherd Program), and women's and sexual introduction mulls over.
